About Francisco J.
I’m Francisco Lopez, a Realtor® with Pearson Smith Realty, proudly helping people make smart real estate moves across Northern Virginia. Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, I’ve spent more than half of my life in this area, and it’s where I’ve built both my business and my family.
With over 8 years of experience in real estate and nearly $50 million in sales across close to 100 transactions, I bring dedication, strategy, and heart to every client I work with. Before real estate, I spent over a decade managing restaurants, an industry that taught me how to multitask like a pro, connect with people from all walks of life, and solve problems under pressure.
Why did I switch careers? Simple: family. I’m a proud dad of three incredible kids, and I realized that while I loved hospitality, I was missing the moments that mattered most. Real estate gave me the freedom to be present, while still doing what I love, meeting new people, building relationships, and guiding them through life-changing decisions.
I’m not your typical extrovert, but I truly enjoy getting to know people. I believe in honesty, loyalty, and good conversation. Outside of work, you’ll find me playing video games, watching fútbol (go Colombia!), or just soaking up the chaos and joy of family life. The most important part of my day is always the time I spend with my wife and kids, they’re growing fast, and I don’t want to miss a second.
